I have started working on task #100, which is to get passably good at a video game that isn't Pokemon or Fire Emblem. I really wanted to choose a game that I could play with other people so I wouldn't feel so left out when my friends play video games together. So, today I started learning how to play Super Smash Brothers Melee. It's the perfect game to play with friends because it's a multiplayer game that almost everyone has played it at some point. I would have chosen Rock band, but you don't really have to be good at that to play it with people. Just about anyone can play the bass part on easy, even me. So, anyway, I got Skye to start teaching me today, and it's going pretty well I think. My favorite character is Roy, which I think is funny because he's from Fire Emblem.

In other 101 related news, my Goodreads Challenge (task #13) starts tomorrow! I think it's great that it starts on Labor Day. Sinc eI don't have class, I'll be able to get started on my first book, The History of the End of the World, right away.

PRIDE, the club I joined (task # 11) went to the Take Back the Night March on Wednesday. I think it was a big success, and we chanted ourselves horse. Did you know that 1 in 4 women of around college age have been sexually assaulted? That has really got to stop, and I think we made enough noise to get people thinking about it. I can't wait for our meeting next week. Everyone is really nice.

On a more personal note, I'm finally getting used to my classes and settling in here. I'm also starting to make friends and just have a better time in general. And the long weekend definitely doesn't hurt things.
