So, today being a Monday, I woke up in a state of funk and unhappiness. I've discovered that nobody really enjoys Mondays. You have to stop your weekend relaxation and wake up early to go to school or work. So as I was getting ready for my day, I started thinking about things I could do to make Mondays a little more bearable. Here is what I came up with.

1. Get enough sleep the night before. This is very important. Nothing sucks more than having to get up and go to class when you're only running on three hours of sleep. I know it's hard, but try to get to bed at a reasonable hour on Sunday night. You will thank yourself for it on Monday morning. that means you prbably sho

2. Wake up on time. I hate having to scrable to get ready in the mornings. It's no fun to wake up late and only have five minutes to get dressed and get out the door. Give yourself time to get ready. You'll be less likely to forget something important, and you'll actually feel more awake during class.

3. Eat breakfast. Nothing helps to wake you up like some food in your belly. We've all seen the commercials telling us why breakfast is an important part of our day. But what if you don't have the time, or just don't like eating that early? If you don't want breakfast, at least drink something. Remember, most headaches, and a lot of fatigue, are caused by dehydration. Starting your morning off with some good nutrition and a glass of water or orange juice can help you feel better for the rest of the day.

4. Wear something nice. It's a time tested fact that when you look your best, you feel your best. Instead of just throwing on the first thing you find, pick out your favorite outfit or in something that you think really flatters you. When you know you look good you will feel more confident and have a better day. So try on that new outfit and show everyone how awesome you really are. You'll definitely feel better than the people who wore pajamas to class! For extra credit, try wearing bright colors. Bright colors are cheerful and can help boost your mood. Plus, you'll be sure to stand out.

5. Decide to have a good day. You'd be surprised how often a good or bad day is defined, not by what actually happens during the course of the day, but by our mood and preconceptions. If you go into anything, be it a movie, restaurant, or class, thinking that it's going to be terrible, it most likely will be. So when you're getting up, getting dressed, and heading out the door on Monday mornings, think to yourself "Today is going to be a good day." You'd be surprised how often you'll be right.
