Wow, it's been awhile since I've actually written about my tasks, hasn't it? Well have no fear, because I haven't been slacking during my absence. Here's a quick list of things I've gotten done or will be getting done in the near future.

Task #2: Play a solo in front of an audience.
This one should be happening soon. In fact, it will be happening on the 17th (I think) during the oboe studio recital. I will be playing the first and fourth movements of Handel's First Sonata. I'll be sure to tell you how that goes one it happens.

Task #3: Impress Dr. Barret.
That one is done for this year! only two more years to go! I really think I impressed her today in my lesson. I was playing the Schumann Romance (mvt 1), which is a beautiful piece that you should listen to if you haven't already. I had really improved from last week, and she could tell I was having fun with it and really enjoying myself. Yay for me!

Task #10: Think of 10 awesome marching band shows.
With the help of a few band catalogs, a notebook, and  some tape, I am now in the process of making a marching band folder, where I will have show ideas, as well as basics like uniforms and hats and such. I already have a bunch of ideas that  just need to finalize and pu tin the folder, and I'll be on my way to finishing Task #10.

Task #14: Read a Shakespeare play.
Today, I checked Much Ado About Nothing out from the library. That just also happens to be on my goodreads challenge list (which is going well by the way), so I'm knocking out two birsd with one stone!

Task #15: Read 10 of the Times Top 100 Books.
So far, I've read two of the Times Top 100 Books. Never Let Me Go was one of them, and the recently finished Possession was the second. Both books are absolutely incredible, so if you haven't read them I would reccomend either.

So there you have it. It's not a bad selection I think. I'm pretty proud of myself recently. And this week is just going to be another Stupidly Productive Week, so who knows what I'll get done next!
